Dr Barra Touray is a lecturer in Computer Networks at Staffordshire University and an external examiner at Manchester Metropolitan University. He is a certified Fellow of The Higher Education Academy (FHEA) in United Kingdom. He started his research with a commonwealth scholarship at Liverpool John Moores University where he obtained a PhD in Wireless Sensor Networks in the School of Engineering Technology and Maritime Operations. He gained a B.Eng. (Honours) first class in Networks and Telecommunication Engineering from the same University in 2008. He is Cisco certified CCNP Security, CCNP(r&s), CCIP (sp), CCNA Wireless, CCNA Security and CCNA (r&s), with more than 5 years’ experience as a Cisco network Engineer in an ISP. He has also passed the CCIE(r&s) (written exam). He is also Juniper Networks Certificate Associate Junos (JNCIA-Junos) certified. Barra's research interests include energy efficient routing algorithm for wireless sensor networks and Ad hoc networks.
